We must be born again

What is the difference between "seeing" the kingdom of God and "entering" it?.. I've thought on this and decided that we can "see" the kingdom of God in our every day to day life. We "see" all of the wonders and creations of this world. Through our own baptisms, we can "see" all that awaits us in the next life to come. When we "enter" the kingdom of God, I suspect it is when we pass from this mortal world into immortality. If we are to live our lives in accordance to the Gospel, we can "enter" into the kingdom of God, even into the Celestial kingdom. Oh what a day that'll be. Christ taught Nicodemus that "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." I suppose this to mean that unless we are baptized and given the gift of the Holy Ghost we cannot hope to even enter the Celestial kingdom and be reunited with our Heavenly Father and elder brother Jesus Christ. Baptism is considered being reborn because we are given the opportunity to shed our past life and mistakes prior to that moment and start with a fresh new page. Just like we start out in this world with a blank page. It is also considered a symbolic representation of death because the old us is put to rest for the new Christ-like us to be able to emerge and thrive. Christ describes the feeling of the Spirt as the feeling of the wind. You can feel it and hear it but you can't quite place where it came from or where it is going. God loves us. He loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ down to this earth to suffer for all of our sins and afflictions that we are to ever encounter in this world. Our Heavenly Father loves us SO much that He provided away for us to return to Him again. But we can only be saved if we follow Christ and believe in His words. We may all be able to have immortality, but what good is that if we cannot live eternally with our Father.

The Birth of John the Baptist

Once upon a very long time ago, there lived on this earth Zachariah and Elisabeth. They did all that was asked of them and lived righteously, but they could not have children. Zachariah was a temple worker and was in charge of burning the incense. While performing his temple duties, the angel Michael came and visited him. In this visit, it was revealed unto Zachariah that Elisabeth would bare a son and he would be named John. Well this was all too much for Zachariah to take in and he didn't quite believe the words that Michael said because they were both so far past the age of child baring. Well his disbelief caused him to become dumb until all the words of Michael came to pass. So, John the Baptist was a pretty remarkable individual. He came into this world to prepare the way for the Savior. That's a pretty intimidating calling in life, at least it would have been for me. I was thinking about what exactly that would require. To prepare others for the greatest blessing ever. To baptize the Savior Jesus Christ and many others. To give them knowledge of their salvations and their remission of sins. He was like the forerunner for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
